Staff Support
Why support SROM staff?
Individuals both in and out of the church are lost and need ministries that take them away from worldly distractions, challenge them, disciple them and teach them life skills. SROM provides these intense ministry and leadership development experiences to people groups around the world. Meanwhile, the full time staff works meticulously year round to insure the fulfillment of the mission. SROM’s exceptional staff work in excellence and discipline according to Colossians 3:23: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men”. SROM is making a difference in the lives of hundreds of individuals every summer. The Kingdom of God is advancing through the ministry.
Why does full time staff have to raise support?
Tuition only covers 50% of the organization’s operational needs. Courses are priced low in order to be affordable. Remaining costs are subsidized by donors, supporters, and fundraising. Therefore, the full time staff needs to raise its full salary. Campus Crusade, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Navigators, and Youth for Christ are all ministries that have full time staff on full salary support. They are amazing ministries that do remarkable Kingdom work, and SROM is no different. Staff members’ gifts and talents are exhaustedly used and dedicated to advancing the Kingdom. It requires hard work and ALL of our time, just like any occupation. Salary support also provides for more staff to come on full time in order to meet the needs of a constantly growing ministry.
What are the benefits of supporting a SROM staff member?
When supporting a full time staff member you are instantly connected to the ministry and the individual’s life at SROM. The staff member communicates with their supporters through email, letters, calls, and sometimes personal visits. As a supporter you’ll hear first hand what the Lord is doing at SROM on and off season. Supporting a staff member is supporting SROM and participating in the growth and advancement of the Kingdom of God. “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40) Be blessed to be a blessing in someone’s life.
