Mission Statement
The Mission of SROM is to change lives by:
- Leading persons to knowledge of Jesus Christ through the outdoors
- Creating a divine human encounter
- Renewing, equipping, and refocusing individuals through God's creation and the Holy Spirit
The SROM mission statement informs and directs the overall vision and daily operations of the ministry. The mission statement provides the framework for all that is done at SROM. We believe the mission statement is timeless and inspired by God.
The SROM Board of Directors is charged with stewardship of the mission statement and uses the mission to develop the vision and give direction to the ministry.
The SROM staff is charged with giving hands and feet to the mission. Their objective is to insure that the mission be fulfilled in the daily operations of the ministry and on every trip that goes into the wilderness.

The Core Values of SROM exist to define concrete examples of how the mission is accomplished through the ministry. These core values are rooted and grounded in the essence of the mission statement. SROM believes these core values to express the fruit of the mission statement in the lives of board, staff and students.
